A Global Merit Scholarship is a full-ride scholarship. Not only does this scholarship cover tuition, fees and room & board, but it also covers the transportation, books & supplies and personal expenses up to the amounts published in the Cost of Attendance each year. This scholarship is guaranteed for four years, subject to a student’s continued Satisfactory Academic Progress of a term GPA of 3.0 or better.
Merit Scholarship – Awards range from $2,000 to $20,000 annually. Award levels determined upon admission to Soka are automatically renewed annually, subject to a student’s continued Satisfactory Academic Progress of a term GPA of 3.0 or better.
SUA Makiguchi Scholarship for Global Citizens – Each year an SUA Makiguchi Scholarship for Global Citizens award will be given to one international applicant, who has graduated from high school in an African nation, is outstanding both in character and academic standing, and who has difficulty studying at SUA due to financial reasons. This award will consist of tuition, fees, room & board and incidental costs, including airfare. This award is granted for a period of four years.
