The university provides merit based scholarships too but I am not sure if international students are eligible for them. Better look their profile in OYA School or search in their website or maybe ask them.

Also, they have a lot of endowment funds, so, they can provide aids based on need and still meet them. Moreover, every Incoming student is so brilliant at Brown University that they easily qualify for external scholarships if they need one.
