Each year, The Hague University of Applied Science awards a maximum of three (one-time) scholarships each worth €5,000 to prospective master students. Moreover, the World Citizen Talent Scholarship is for the student who is intelligent, talented and ambitious people who view themselves as citizens of the world. The scholarship is on a competitive basis, where students have to demonstrate their ability by writing an outstanding essay.
Hague University World Citizen Scholarship
A panel of jury at Hague University will decide upon the winner of the World Citizen Talent Scholarship. The recipient of the scholarship will receive a cash reward fo €5,000. The purpose of the reward is to contribute towards the student’s tuition fee. Hence, the recipient will receive an exemption from paying tuition fee equal to the scholarship amount.
Eligibility for the 2020 World Citizen Scholarship
In order to become eligible for the 2020 World Citizen Scholarship at Hague University a scholarship applicant must:
- Come from outside The Netherlands and don’t live in the Netherlands.
- Are enrolling for the first time at The Hague University of Applied Sciences.
- Have never applied for this scholarship before.
- Have been conditionally accepted as a student (also-called offer of student position) on or before 31 March for the upcoming academic year.
How to apply for the World Citizen Scholarship at Hague University?
In order to apply for the World Citizen Talent Scholarship, students must, at first, gain admission at the Hague University. The applicant must have the status of ‘Conditionally Accepted’ at Hague University. Applicants can submit their master’s application via an online platform.
Next, the applicants will require to write an essay (in English, 950 to 1100 words ) explaining why and how they can contribute to the multinational, multicultural beehive that is The Hague University of Applied Sciences. Further, the students must also discuss how they can contribute to the program of their choice. The essay must follow the guidelines for the scholarship. However, prior to writing students may take a look at the information on the assessment procedure.
Finally, the candidates must submit the World Citizen Talent Scholarship form along with the essay. The application is available to submit online only.
Deadline
The Hague University will accept the application for the 2020 World Citizen Scholarship until 31 March 2020. Applications arriving after the deadline are not eligible for the scholarship.
