Australian Lutheran College

Australian Lutheran College was established in 1968. It is located in North Adelaide, SA, Australia. Australian Lutheran College (ALC) is the tertiary education provider of the Lutheran Church of Australia. Students at ALC are taught to think imaginatively about issues that affect all of life in the church and the world. They are learning to think faithfully and vitally about life and faith in the light of biblical and church teaching and be effective spiritual leaders, educators, and workers who bring life and renewal to the church and communities they serve. ALC provides opportunities for growth, education, and training in vocational and higher education formats, including Certificate IV, Diploma, Bachelor, Masters, and Doctoral studies. While ALC is located in Adelaide, South Australia, the great majority of students are based outside Adelaide, utilizing online learning, and local and interstate workshops and intensives. It has a total of 96 students. The campus includes a number of single and shared accommodation blocks, a library, a refectory as well as educational facilities. Although still primarily a theological college, it is also open to students studying at Adelaide University, the University of South Australia, Flinders University, or TAFE, a paradigm reflected in the name change of 2004. Unique among South Australian residential colleges, Australian Lutheran College is equipped to accommodate married students, even with families.

International students should have a minimum of 6.5 in IELTS in order to get admission to ALC. Other language tests accepted by the college are TOEFL and PTE.
